Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die nachfolgende Untersuchung schließt sich unmittelbar an die unter [12] zitierte Arbeit an und dient der weiteren Behandlung einiger der dort aufgeworfenen Fragen. Den größten Raum nimmt dabei der Versuch ein, den Indexbegriff so zu verfeinern, daß, wie bei Cordes u. Labrousse [3] für den Hilbertraum oder z. B. für endlichen Index in separablen Banachräumen [12], nun auch für unendlichen Index eine Charakterisierung des Zusammenhangsverhaltens der Semi-Fredholm-Operatoren durch den Index gegeben wird. Eine einfache und naheliegende Verfeinerung ergibt sich aus der Unterscheidung unendlicher Dimensionen verschiedener Mächtigkeiten, wie bei Gochberg u. Krein [5] und bei Cordes u. Labrousse [3]. Man erhält für diese Indizes zwar die entsprechenden Störungssätze, es gelingt aber nicht, die Zusammenhangs-komponenten im Raume der Semi-Fredholm-Operatoren mit ihrer Hilfe zu charakterisieren.
