Abstract

Zusammenfassung Um im weltweiten Wettbewerb bestehen zu können, setzte man zu Beginn der achtziger Jahre in vielen Industriebereichen Westeuropas und Nordamerikas zunächst auf eine technologische Offensive. Das Ziel war es, Automatisierung und Flexibilisierung des gesamten Prozesses der Produktentstehung und speziell der Fertigung so weit wie möglich zu perfektionieren. So sollte zum Beispiel durch den Einsatz von Industrierobotern ein Höchstmaß an Fertigungsflexiblität erreicht werden und zwar vor allem in der Automobilindustrie.
