Abstract

Zusammenfassung In der algebraischen Geometrie kommt es oft vor, daß Lösungen. eines Problems in einem Spezialfall mehrfach gezählt werden müssen, damit Anzahl und Eigenschaften der Lösungen beim Übergang vom allgemeinen Fall zum Spezialfall erhalten bleiben. Z. B. liegen auf der allgemeinen kubischen Fläche im projektiven Raum 27 Geraden, von denen jede durch 10 andere geschnitten wird; sollen diese Eigenschaften erhalten bleiben für eine kubische Fläche, die einen Doppelpunkt hat, im übrigen aber allgemein ist, so müssen die 6 Geraden der Fläche, welche durch diesen Doppelpunkt gehen, doppelt gezählt werden, die übrigen 15 einfach. D. h. man gibt jeder Geraden auf dieser Fläche eine Multiplizität. In gleicher Weise erteilt man den Schnittpunkten einer Geraden mit einer Fläche n-ten Grades eine Multiplizität, indem z. B. ein Berührungspunkt zweifach gezählt wird.
