Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Kapitel befassen wir uns mit den numerischen Aspekten der linearen Eigenwertaufgabe $$ F(\lambda )x{\text{ = }}(A{\text{ - }}\lambda B)x{\text{ = }}o;x \ne o, $$ wo nun unsere Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen aus den Kapiteln VIII und IX in mehrfacher Weise zusammenfließen: Zwei ihrem Wesen nach verschiedene Aufgabenstellungen sind dabei zu unterscheiden: a) Die vollständige Eigenwertaufgabe, d. h. die Ermittlung des gesamten Spektrums und — falls erforderlich — auch der Modalmatrizen der Links- und Rechtseigenvektoren bzw. Hauptvektoren. b) Die unvollständige oder partielle Eigenwertaufgabe, sogenannte selektive oder Extraktionsmethoden. Hier werden nur einige wenige Eigenwerte mit oder ohne die zugehörigen Eigen- (bzw. Haupt-) vektoren ermittelt.
