Abstract

Zusammenfassung Kehren wir zur Analyse der quantenmechanischen Theorien zurück, die wir durch die mathematischen Ausführungen des II. Teiles unterbrochen hatten. Dort wurde nur erörtert, wie die Quantenmechanik die Bestimmung aller möglichen Werte einer bestimmten physikalischen Größe, der Energie, ermöglicht — es sind die Eigenwerte des Energieoperators H (d. h. die Zahlen seines Spektrums). Unerörtert blieb dagegen, was sie über die Werte anderer Größen sowie über die kausalen oder statistischen Zusammenhänge zwischen den Werten mehrerer Größen auszusagen vermag. Die diesbezüglichen Aussagen der Theorie sollen nun ins Auge gefaßt werden. Bei dieser Gelegenheit legen wir die wellenmechanische Beschreibungsweise zugrunde — die Gleichwertigkeit beider Theorien ist ja gesichert.
