Abstract

Zusammenfassung MuPAD nimmt bei der Auswertung von Objekten eine Reihe von Vereinfachungen autarnatisch vor. So werden Arithmetikoperationen zwischen Zahlen stets ausgeführt oder exp(ln(x)) wird zu х vereinfacht. Andere mathematisch mögliche Vereinfachungen wie z.B. sin(x)2 + cos(x)2=1, ln(exp(x))=x, oder auch $$\sqrt {{x^2}} = x\ $$ werden jedoch nicht automatisch vorgenommen. Dies liegt einerseits daran, dass solche Regeln oft nur eine beschränkte Gültigkeit haben: Beispielsweise gilt $$\sqrt {{x^2}} = x$$ nicht für x = -2. Andere Vereinfachungen wie sin(x)2 + cos(x)2=1 sind zwar allgemein gültig, es würde die Effizienz der Rechnungen jedoch stark beeinträchtigen, wenn MuPAD jeden zu bearbeitenden Ausdruck auf das Vorhandensein von sin-und cos-Terrnen durchsuchen müsste.
