Abstract

Zusammenfassung Abel war wieder in Christiania bei seinen alten Freunden und dem Alltag im Studentenheim Regentsen. Hier bekam er nun das Zimmer Nr. 3, das einzige Einzelzimmer. Der Aufenthalt in Kopenhagen hatte ihn inspiriert, in seinen mathematischen Arbeiten fortzufahren und er konzentrierte sich vor allem auf zwei, drei Gebiete. Die Arbeit an der Gleichungstheorie hatte er nicht beiseite gelegt und er arbeitete weiter an seiner Abhandlung Integration von Differentialformeln, die immer noch für eine Veröffentlichung geprüft wurde. Ein drittes Gebiet, das eng mit der Integralrechnung zusammenhing, war das der elliptischen Funktionen.
