Abstract

Zusammenfassung Knapp neun Jahre alt verließ Sophus Lie im Juli 1851 Nordfjordeid, gemeinsam mit seinen Eltern und mittlerweile funf Geschwistern - zwei Jahre nach seiner Geburt hatten seine Eltern einen weiteren Sohn bekommen. Sie wurden mit dem Ruderboot nach Gloppen gebracht, und von dort aus ging es mit pferd und Wagen weiter nach Vadheim. Von Vadheim aus wurden sie mehrere Tage lang in den Sognefjord hinein nach Lrerdal gerudert, dann ging es den alten Handelsweg entlang über die Berge ins Hallingdal und weiter nach Suden in Richtung Drammen, dann nach Holmestrand, und von dort aus mit dem Schiff uber den Oslofjord nach Moss.
