Abstract

The Dirichlet problem of the nonlinear Boltzmann equation in the half-space arises in the analysis of the kinetic boundary layer, the condensation-evaporation problem and other problems related to the kinetic behavior of gas near the wall, [5], [12]. The main concern is to find a solution which tends to an assigned Maxwellian at infinity.
