Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bereits der vorige Abschnitt ließ die Bedeutung der Matrizentheorie für Systeme linearer Differentialgleichungen erkennen. Im folgenden soll die Matrizenrechnung zur Lösung allgemeiner Systeme linearer Differentialgleichungen ohne die bei Schwingungen auftretenden Besonderheiten herangezogen werden, wobei wir uns freilich auf den einfachsten, für den Ingenieur wichtigsten Fall der Gleichungssysteme mit konstanten Koeffizienten beschränken wollen1, und zwar behandeln wir vor allem die Frage der allgemeinen Lösung und Konstantenbestimmung der homogenen Gleichungssysteme. Dies ist erstmals in dem bekannten Dynamikbuch von Routh 2 durchgeführt worden, jedoch ohne ausdrückliche Benutzung der Elementarteiler. Mit diesen sowie durch Heranziehung des Begriffs der Hauptvektoren lassen sich die oft recht verwickelten Verhältnisse besonders übersichtlich darstellen, wie im folgenden gezeigt werden soll.
