A Fundamental Lemma on Point Modifications

Abstract

A general point modification (proper) can be dominated by another point modification which has better properties than the given one. Some theorems of this nature have been announced in my paper [1] and applied to some problems in a joint paper [2]. For instance, the following is one of the most important ones.
