Abstract

With the increasing attention of the international community, the greenhouse effect had make serious threat on human’s living environment and economic development. Carbon emission is the main reason of greenhouse effect. In order to quantify the carbon emissions, the carbon footprint (CF) is gradually being concerned and adopted. CF calculation takes into account the total emissions of entire life cycle and the paper use life cycle assessment method which is based on the BSI’s “PAS 2050-2008” standard. Taking an apartment for example, this article calculates and analyzes all the CF from “cradle” to “grave”.
