Abstract

To realize the cost estimating of product development, a estimating method based on Activity and its Process (ProA) hierarchical decomposition was presented integrating with product development process modeling. Cost attributes of ProA Input and Output Item and ProA conversion operations were firstly studied. Cost transfer between ProA Input and Output Item were analyzed in detail, and rules for cost estimating of ProA were also formulated. Finally, the method of the cost estimating was presented, and simulation based on Matlab environments was also conducted.
