Abstract

Compared with other major institutions in society, higher education institutions in the past were perceived as very international institutions in the European countries because there was a neo-colonial dimension of higher education (Teichler 1999). Students from many developing countries are willing to study abroad because higher education systems in their countries are incomplete and cannot offer them sufficient resources and quality studying. This paper introduces that the advantages of UK’s higher construction education lie in both its teaching approaches and the links with professional bodies, then Analyses the market demand of Chinese construction higher education, finally Discusses the success factors of exporting UK’s construction higher education to China
