Abstract

As the passenger flow volume fluctuates significantly during holidays and in case of an unexpected large passenger flow, it’s important to arrange train assignment, make temporary passenger train operation scheme and adjust the train operation plan to assure the normal operation of high-speed railway. This paper aims to ease a large passenger flow condition during holidays caused by imbalanced passenger flow. The process of vehicle deployment always leads to the phenomenon that there are no passengers on the round-trip train, so that the railway transportation cost increases. To solve this problem, this paper puts forward the holiday train assignment model, and apply corresponding algorithm to do numerical simulation for solving the train dispatching model by case analysis. It is proved that this train dispatching optimization model and its algorithm can meet the actual demand reasonably.
