Abstract

For its closeness to the public and providing direct-services, the local E-government plays a vital part in the process of building service-oriented local governments in China. Nevertheless, inefficiency in preliminary planning and a lack of unified standards cause several problems, such as Information Island, difficulties in departmental collaboration and failure in meeting requirements of the public. To solve these problems, this chapter, firstly, analyzes the status quo of current local E-governments thoroughly, studies cloud computing model, and then puts forward the Local E-government Cloud Architecture, which apply Government Information Resource Catalog System as the core and local government cloud data centers as the basis. In the last part, deployment models of the Local Government Cloud Architecture are given. It is hoped that this chapter will provide theoretical and technical support for the construction of China’s local E-governments.
