Abstract

Entrepreneurial alertness is becoming a more and more important area of inquiry in entrepreneurship research (Shane and Venkataraman 2000). The uniqueness of the entrepreneurial alertness construct and its position in entrepreneurial literature has been reflected in such important research as investigations of the origins of entrepreneurial opportunities and capabilities (Venkataraman 1997).
