Abstract

Zusammenfassung Als ich zwischen 1963 und 1966 an der IMO teilnahm, gab es keine Aufgaben aus der Graphentheorie. Heutzutage tauchen sie hingegen recht häufig auf. Woran liegt das? Welche Rolle spielt Graphentheorie in der heutigen Mathematik? Zur Beantwortung dieser Fragen will ich ein paar der vielen Verbindungen zwischen Graphentheorie und anderen Bereichen der Mathematik vorstellen, die ich selber gefunden habe.
