Abstract

Zusammenfassung Obwohl man in Mathematikwettbewerben für Schüler wie in der Universitätsmathematik schwere Aufgaben stellen kann, gibt es zwischen beiden wichtige Unterschiede. Ein Grund hierfür ist, dass Fragen aus der Forschung mathematische Konzepte auf Universitätsniveau verlangen, die in der Schule fehlen. Doch es gibt auch über das Fachliche hinaus tiefgehende Unterschiede.Wir zeigen dies anhand einiger Ergebnisse und Fragen der Ramseytheorie, ein Gebiet, das sowohl mit Schulmitteln lösbare als auch für die mathematische Forschung interessante Probleme liefert.
