Abstract

Corporate venture capital (CVC) is venture capital (VC) that is administered by regular enterprises and corporations. Both CVC and VC target firms in early stages of the company life cycle. In their investments, corporate venture capital funds (CVCF) pursue financial and strategic goals. It is important for young firms to explore these goals and to examine the extent to which the goals of CVCF can help them in accomplishing their own future vision. Yet, as opposed to regular VC, CVC has to date only been applied in negligible volumes.
