Abstract

SV is a manufacturer of specialist vehicles for use in forestry and for the upkeep of road embankments, sporting fields and golf courses. The company is based in the east of Switzerland. Most of the vehicles are sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by the company’s own representatives in the field. For the last two years, the products have also been distributed by representatives in France, Belgium and Italy. Until now success has been modest. Four years ago SV acquired a supplier in difficulty, a Zurich-based producer of chassis for utility vehicles. The Zurich company continues to supply other Swiss utility vehicle makers alongside SV.
