Abstract

Zusammenfassung In den vorangegangenen Kapiteln sind eine Reihe von Grenzen der Durchstrahlungs-Elektronenmikroskopie erwähnt worden (Kap. 4, 6, 10, 11). Dabei wurde immer vorausgesetzt, dass für die Versuche die üblichen Mikroskope mit Beschleunigungsspannungen bis unter 200 kV verwendet werden. Die Grenzen der Anwendungsmöglichkeit folgten im Wesentlichen aus der erforderlichen geringen Dicke der Folien und aus Zerstörung der Struktur durch Strahlenschäden. Diese Nachteile lassen sich teilweise vermeiden, wenn Mikroskope mit höherer Beschleunigungsspannung verwendet werden. Seit einigen Jahren sind Geräte mit bis zu 1000 kV auf dem Markt erhältlich, und die ersten Erfahrungen ihrer Anwendung auf dem Gebiet der Werkstoffforschung liegen vor.
