Abstract

Brazil’s economy does not always garner the same attention in the press as China and India, the largest and fastest growing of the BRICs economies. The picture is worse when it comes to Brazil’s IT sector, which is surprisingly close in size to India’s in revenue terms. Nonetheless the Brazilian economy, and particularly its IT sector, is clearly important enough to merit the same attention as China, India, and Russia when studying the world’s leading developing economies.
