Abstract

4 Conclusion Due to the geographical dimension of China and the amount and density of the industrial parks in certain areas, it is not easy to obtain a sufficient overview, not to mention a comparison of the locations. Using the criteria presented, investment locations can be structured and systematically analyzed. To illustrate this kind of approach, the most important location criteria have been specified and evaluated for the Wujin High-Tech Industrial Zone (WIZ). If WIZ was positioned in the matrix of competitive advantages discussed before, the result would be quite positive. The final choice of an industrial park strongly depends on the corporate strategies and objectives. The evaluation process introduced here should be seen as a decision-making guideline.
