Abstract

Zusammenfassung Hier werden einige wichtige Modelle für die Verteilung von stetigen Zufalls­variablen diskutiert. Da eine stetige Zufallsvariable X überabzählbar viele Werte x annehmen kann, ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, daß X einen bestimmten Wert annimmt, gleich Null. Konsequenterweise können im stetigen Fall Wahrschein­lichkeiten nur dafür berechnet werden, daß X in beliebige Intervalle hineinfällt. Diese Wahrscheinlichkeiten ergeben sich als Fläche zwischen der x-Achse und der Dichtefunktion über dem betrachteten Intervall.
