Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bevor den in Kapitel 1.4. beschriebenen Schritten folgend versucht werden soll, ein policy-analytisches Modell zur Analyse und theoretischen Interpretation des EU-Systems zu entwickeln, gilt es, vorab noch einmal die grundsätzliche Situation, in der sich die gegenwärtige Theoriediskussion zur Union befindet, kurz zu reflektieren. Sie wird besonders deutlich, wenn man sich etwa vor Augen führt, daß in einer zu Anfang der 90er Jahre verfaßten Bestandsaufnahme zur Theoriediskussion im Bereich der Internationalen Beziehungen der Autor bereits für diese eine Teildisziplin eine geradezu verwirrende Theorievielfalt konstatierte und beklagte (Meyers 1990: 49).
