Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Korrelations- oder Zusammenhangsanalyse (lat: con... → zusammen mit, relatio → Beziehung) ist ein Teilgebiet der multivariaten (lat.: multus → vielfach, varia → Allerlei) Statistik. Dabei steht das Messen der Intensität und der Richtung von Zusammenhängen zwischen mindestens zwei Merkmalen mit Hilfe geeigneter Maßzahlen im Vordergrund. In Abhängigkeit davon, ob die Merkmalsausprägungen auf einer nominalen, ordinalen oder kardinalen bzw. metrischen Skala statistisch erhoben wurden, unterscheidet man in der statistischen Methodenlehre zwischen der Kontingenzanalyse (lat.: contingentia → Zufälligkeit), der Rang- und der Maßkorrelationsanalyse. In diesem Kapitel werden nur deskriptive Konzepte und Maßzahlen der bivariaten (lat.: bis → zweifach) Korrelationsanalyse dargestellt.
