Abstract

Zusammenfassung Kaum ein Schlagwort hat die öffentliche Diskussion im zurückliegenden Jahrzehnt in derart kontroverser Weise geprägt wie die Globalisierung. So heißt es im 2002 veröffentlichten Abschlussbericht der vom Deutschen Bundestag eingesetzten Enquete-Kommission „Globalisierung der Weltwirtschaft. Herausforderungen und Antworten“: „Sehr viele politische Streitfragen unserer Tage haben einen direkten oder indirekten Bezug zur Globalisierung. Der Streit um die beste Strategie zur Überwindung der Arbeitslosigkeit, über die Verschuldung von Entwicklungsländern, über die optimale Steuerpolitik oder über Klimaschutz und Atomausstieg, fast alles wird heute im Zusammenhang der Globalisierung gesehen und diskutiert.“1
