Abstract

Zusammenfassung Felix Hausdorff hat in seinen mengentheoretischen Untersuchungen zahlreiche Fragen berührt, die von der üblichen Axiomatisierung der Mengenlehre unabhängig sind, d.h. in dieser weder beweisbar noch widerlegbar sind. Am Beispiel der Cantorschen Kontinuumshypothese geben wir einen Eindruck von Unabhängigkeitsbeweisen mit inneren Modellen und der Erzwingungsmethode. Unabhängigkeitsresultate künnen als Absage an ein absolutes mengentheoretisches Universum interpretiert werden, in erstaunlicher Analogie zur Hausdorffschen Erkenntnistheorie des Chaos in kosmischer Auslese.
