Abstract

This chapter covers the basic elements of difference equations on Banach spaces and the tools necessary for studying and solving, primarily, vector-valued linear difference equations. It is motivated by a good number of examples from various fields, which are presented in the first section, and then discussed along with their detailed solutions in Chap. 7.
