Abstract

Résumé A l’époque d’Euler-d’Alembert, l’étude des équations différentielles ordinaires et celles aux dérivées partielles, devient une théorie indépendante grâce aux efforts de ces deux grands mathématiciens. Tout ce qui précèdait, c’est-à-dire les ouvrages de I. Newton et de G. W. Leibniz comme ceux de leurs successeurs immédiats, appartient à la période préliminaire de la formation d’une théorie, dont l’objet et les méthodes faisaient encore partie du calcul intégral et n’avaient pas été traités comme le domaine autonome d’analyse mathématique.
