Abstract

Zusammenfassung Vor 1945 schlossen nur sehr wenige Personen ihr Studium mit einem Diplom in Mathematik ab. Deshalb können wir in diesem Abschnitt nicht eine größere Zahl von Frauen und Männern vergleichen, die vor längerer Zeit diesen Berufsweg einschlugen. Wir wollen vielmehr kurz beschreiben, wie es überhaupt zu diesem Beruf kam und welche Mathematik-Abschlüsse mit Diplom heute erworben werden können. Außerdem fügen wir das Porträt einer Frau an, die zu den ersten Diplom-Mathematikerinnen gehörte und 1927 das Diplom erwarb. Wir vergleichen ihren Weg mit der Karriere ihres Mannes, der ein halbes Jahr jünger als sie war.
