Abstract

Zusammenfassung Werden die rechtwinkligen Koordinaten von vier Punkten P0, P 1, P 2, P 3 durch die entsprechenden Indices voneinander unterschieden, so stellt die Determinante | x 0 y 0 z 0 1 x 1 y 1 z 1 1 x 2 y 2 z 2 1 x 3 y 3 y 3 1 | > $$\left| {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}}{{x_0}} & {{y_0}} & {{z_0}} & 1 \\{{x_1}} & {{y_1}} & {{z_1}} & 1 \\{{x_2}} & {{y_2}} & {{z_2}} & 1 \\{{x_3}} & {{y_3}} & {{y_3}} & 1 \\\end{array} } \right|$$ bekanntlich das sechsfache Volumen des Tetraeders P 0 P 1 P 2 P 3 vor, und zwar (bei bestimmter Orientierung der Koordinatenaxen) positiv oder negativ genommen, je nachdem ein Beobachter, dessen Füsse sich bei P 0 befinden und welcher gegen P 0 P 1 gelehnt nach P 2 hinsieht, den Punkt P 3 zur Linken oder zur Rechten hat.
