Abstract

We give a systematic summary of the applications of q-analysis in physics in nine separate sections. Each section is about a certain theme, the connection is the quantum group SU q (2). Both the Santilli hadron mechanics and the Wess-Zumino model for elementary particles use q-calculus as a mathematical model. We illustrate with equations for the classical q-oscillator, the q-commutator, the Heisenberg q-uncertainty relation, and the creation and annihilation operators. The titles of the subsections are: 1. The q-Coulomb problem and the q-hydrogen atom 2. Connections to knot theory 3. General relativity 4. Molecular and nuclear spectroscopy 5. Elementary particle physics and chemical physics 6. Electroweak interaction 7. String theory 8. Wess-Zumino model 9. Quantum Chromodynamics
