Abstract

This chapter examines the profile and behavioral dynamics of the innovative entrepreneur, focusing on three core dimensions: creativity, risk-taking, and resilience. These characteristics are explored not only as individual traits but also as components of a broader cognitive and strategic orientation that enables entrepreneurs to identify opportunities, develop novel solutions, and drive competitive advantage. The analysis further highlights the strategic role of Human Resource Management (HRM) in shaping environments that foster innovation. HRM practices, including talent acquisition, continuous learning, performance management, and the cultivation of collaborative organizational cultures, are shown to be essential in supporting entrepreneurs and their teams throughout the innovation process. A third central axis of this research concerns the integration of sustainability into entrepreneurial activity. In an era marked by ecological pressures, regulatory demands, and shifting consumer expectations, sustainable innovation has emerged as a key determinant of long-term business viability. The study, therefore, analyzes how entrepreneurs can embed environmental and social responsibility into their business models, leveraging creativity and resilience to transition toward greener and more responsible practices. Additionally, the interdependence between entrepreneurial behavior, HRM strategies, and sustainability is synthesized to illustrate a holistic model of innovative and sustainable entrepreneurship. Overall, the chapter concludes that the success of the contemporary innovative entrepreneur depends on the dynamic interaction between individual capabilities, organizational support, and strategic commitment to sustainability. Together, these dimensions contribute to the development of competitive, resilient, and environmentally conscious business models, better equipped to respond to global challenges and future economic demands.
