Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a growing field that combines different areas of study. It aims to create computer programs and algorithms that can see reason, learn, and act on their own or with others in complex environments that include people, machines, and different settings. Rooted in computer science, cognitive science, and engineering, AI goes beyond mere imitation of human thought. It develops new forms of intelligence that help people work more effectively, make better predictions, and solve problems in innovative ways.
