Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to explore how family businesses approach sustainability, social responsibility, and the transition to circular business principles and models. For each of these aspects, a literature review is provided, from which interesting insights emerge to understand how such businesses manage the challenges of sustainability and of achieving and maintaining the role of a good citizen in the community of reference by nurturing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
