Abstract

The 1915-1918 edition of the Grand Prix des Mathématiques was announced on November 15th 1915; the deadline was set for December 31th 1917. Participants were given two years to create and submit their work. Which category of mathematicians might be interested? Potential candidates would be analysts working with convergent sequences, dynamical systems, functional equations, and complex analysis.
