Abstract

This concluding chapter synthesises the key themes and insights presented throughout the book, offering a forward-looking vision for decolonising enterprise practices. It emphasises the urgent need to deconstruct colonial legacies that continue to permeate entrepreneurship, management, and organisational practices across global contexts. The chapter forms the basis for reimagining enterprise as a tool for equity, inclusivity, and cultural empowerment. It outlines actionable strategies for policymakers, scholars, and practitioners to engage with decolonial frameworks in their respective fields. By emphasising the importance of localised knowledge, community agency, and intersectional approaches, the chapter provides a roadmap for fostering sustainable and transformative change in entrepreneurial ecosystems, informal economies, and the third sector. It aims to inspire ongoing dialogue and action, encouraging stakeholders to view decolonising the enterprise as a continuous, collective process that redefines the purpose and potential of economic and organisational activities in the modern world.
