Abstract

This chapter provides a synopsis of the analyses conducted in this monograph, with a particular focus on the process approach to managing environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) areas. The study presents an original conceptual model that frames ESG as a complex, iterative process of continuous improvement, integrated across various levels of organisational management. The limitations of the research are indicated, including the dynamic global political-economic context and the evolving nature of non-financial reporting standards. The chapter goes on to propose future research directions, with a particular emphasis on the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing ESG processes and the importance of fostering cooperation and dialogue in the concept’s ongoing development. The advancement of these areas of inquiry is imperative for further research aimed at enabling the effective implementation of ESG practices and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
