Abstract

In the contemporary global context, marked by profound structural transformations, climate change challenges and intensifying competitive pressures, the concept of industrial sustainability has become a strategic imperative for the EU. The dual pursuit of economic growth and environmental protection is central to the EU’s long-term vision, as reflected in the European Green Deal, the Digital Compass and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Industry, as a cornerstone of economic productivity, innovation capacity and job creation, faces the necessity to adapt to accelerating technological change, digitalization and environmental regulations that redefine production processes, supply chains and market structures.
