Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wagniskapitalgeber (VC-Investoren) spielen eine wichtige Rolle im Start-up-Ökosystem, insbesondere in den frühen Phasen. Um zu verstehen, wie Investoren über geistiges Eigentum (IP) denken und welche Rolle es bei ihren Investitionsentscheidungen spielt, bietet dieses Kapitel Interviews mit drei erfahrenen VC-Experten. Die Interviews bestätigten wenig überraschend, dass IP ein sehr wichtiger Aspekt für VC-Investoren im Rahmen ihres Investitionsentscheidungsprozesses ist. Investoren haben in bestimmten Bereichen klare Erwartungen, während sie in anderen weniger besorgt sind, und es bestehen deutliche Präferenzen, wie und wann IP während eines typischen Bewertungsprozesses im Fokus stehen sollte. Gründern wird ein schrittweises Vorgehen empfohlen, um sich nach und nach und effizient das nötige IP-Know-how anzueignen, um auf das nächste Pitch-Gespräch mit Investoren vorbereitet zu sein und so den Zugang zu Kapital zu ermöglichen.
