Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Management des geistigen Eigentums eines Unternehmens ist ein zentrales Thema in dessen strategischer Planung und langfristiger Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Diese Thematik gewinnt insbesondere bei Start-ups an Bedeutung, da diese Unternehmensform per se einen innovativen Charakter aufweist. Trotz ihrer offensichtlichen Relevanz leiden Entwicklungsländer wie Brasilien unter mangelnder Struktur, Verzögerungen, hohen Kosten und rechtlicher Unsicherheit im Bereich Patente und geistiges Eigentum, was es Start-ups erschwert, die notwendigen Schutzrechte zu erlangen. Eine der gängigsten Lösungen in solchen Fällen besteht darin, nach Möglichkeiten zu suchen, den Prozess innerhalb des lokalen Innovationsökosystems zu erleichtern. Florianópolis ist eines der wichtigsten Start-up-Zentren Brasiliens und dient als Referenz für Städte und Regierungen in Entwicklungsländern, die starke Innovationsökosysteme aufbauen möchten.
