Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel beschreibt die Störungen, die die Entwicklung oder sogar die Beständigkeit des familiengeführten Unternehmens gefährden könnten. Das Universum potenzieller Ursachen für Störungen wird in „sich gegenseitig ausschließende und gemeinsam erschöpfende“ Zweige gegliedert, die von sehr allgemeinen Bereichen bis hin zu immer detaillierteren Ursachen reichen. Verschiedene logische Unterscheidungen werden angewandt, um die Phänomene zu strukturieren. Die Entwicklungskategorien werden in die Alternativen Fortführung, Fusion und Verschwinden differenziert. Die allgemeinen Bereiche umfassen Ursachen, die in der Umwelt, im Unternehmen, im Management oder bei den Eigentümern ihren Ursprung haben. Jeder dieser Zweige wird weiter ausdifferenziert. Es wird auf verschiedene Forschungsberichte verwiesen, die die Häufigkeit des Niedergangs von Familien- und Nichtfamilienunternehmen sowie die jeweiligen auslösenden Ereignisse analysieren. Somit wird eine multidimensionale Analyse der negativen Seite einer potenziellen Unternehmensentwicklung geboten.
