Abstract

The concept of generalized functions resulted from the attempts to free analysis from the difficulties in presence of non-differentiable functions or functions with even stronger irregularities. One possible way to get around this difficulty could be to extend the class of functions into a much larger body of objects called ‘generalized functions’ or simply ’distributions’ such that the above shortcomings would disappear.
