Abstract

A review of previous studies on female labor force participation is essential for understanding the diverse factors that influence women’s employment patterns across different socio-economic contexts. By analyzing existing literature, one can identify common challenges, such as the effects of social norms, economic transitions, and education levels on women’s labor market participation, while also recognizing country-specific variations. Additionally, reviewing prior research enables the evaluation of the effectiveness of existing policies and interventions, helping to uncover gaps in the current knowledge and approaches. This process provides a critical foundation for the development of more targeted, evidence-based policies and strategies that address the unique barriers women face in the labor market, ultimately contributing to sustainable economic development and gender equality.
