In: Sustainable Performance in the Digital Age

Abstract

In previous chapters, we discussed and illustrated the impact of Lean and Digital approaches, individually and in combination, for double sustainable performance. In an increasingly fast-paced world where information circulates rapidly, we observed that one solution, whether Lean or Digital, can sometimes replace another due to trends or a lack of knowledge put to use. However, with the current Digital solutions, we could transform organizations through well-defined, supported use cases. And what’s next? This chapter looks towards the future and explores the concept of a post-Digital era, or the Digital practices of the Future.
