Abstract

This chapter explores key FinTech innovations, beginning with BNPL, which allows users to divide payments into installments, making high-value purchases more accessible and boosting sales. Another significant innovation is embedded finance, which integrates financial services into non-financial platforms, allowing merchants to offer accounts, payments, cards, loans, and investments in their products-thereby increasing convenience and promoting financial inclusion. SuperApps consolidate multiple services, such as payments, e-commerce, and entertainment, into a single platform, enhancing user engagement through a seamless experience. Neobrokers, which are digital-first trading platforms, attract younger investors by offering lower fees, fractional shares, and innovative revenue models such as payment-for-order-flow. RTO financing allows users to rent goods with the option to purchase, while EMI plans provide predictable financing for large purchases through fixed monthly payments. A2A payments facilitate direct bank transfers, bypassing card schemes, reducing merchant transaction fees, and offering a more efficient payment alternative.
