Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel führt das neoklassische Wachstumsmodell mit überlappenden Generationen für einen Sektor ein. Der Hauptfokus des Kapitels liegt auf Wachstum durch private physische Kapitalakkumulation. Wir betrachten privates Sachkapital als vom Menschen geschaffene dauerhafte Vorleistungen für den Produktionsprozess. Für unsere Zwecke kann privates Kapital hauptsächlich als Anlagen und Ausrüstung betrachtet werden, die in einem Zeitraum produziert und dann in der folgenden Periode in der Produktion verwendet werden. Um die Produktion zu modellieren, führen wir Unternehmen ein, wirtschaftliche Institutionen, die physisches Kapital und Arbeit kombinieren, um Waren und Dienstleistungen zu produzieren. In Kap. 5 führen wir das öffentliche Kapital erneut ein, das im Mittelpunkt von Kap. 2 und 3 stand, und untersuchen die Wechselwirkung zwischen öffentlicher und privater Kapitalakkumulation sowie andere Auswirkungen der Fiskalpolitik auf das Wirtschaftswachstum.
