Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Design- und Entwicklungsprozess findet in Systemen menschlicher Aktivität statt. Als solcher wird er nur durch bestimmte Weltanschauungen wahrgenommen, wobei jede einige Aspekte hervorhebt, während sie andere vereinfacht und untergehen lässt. Eine Reihe von Prozessmetaphern steht zur Verfügung, um über einen Design- und Entwicklungsprozess nachzudenken, der verschiedene Weltanschauungen widerspiegelt, die unterschiedliche und ergänzende Erkenntnisse liefern. Dieses Kapitel diskutiert einige der gebräuchlichsten Prozessmetaphern und die Erkenntnisse, die aus jeder gewonnen werden können. Die Anerkennung der Bandbreite möglicher Metaphern kann zu einem ganzheitlicheren Verständnis einer Prozesssituation führen als die Wahrnehmung durch eine einzige Linse allein.
